What a great way to spend your afternoon with your family. My young son who is a train enthusiast had a blast. The staff/train conductors are extremely knowledgeable about all locomotives and friendly. The museum is great for photography as there are plenty of trains to shoot and you can actually go into some (most) of the trains, which is always cool. There's a small gift shop with a good selection of train themed items you won't easily find in commercial stores.

My retired father just started volunteering here so we recently went to check it out. This place is so cool! They have a really diverse collection of old cars, including many engines, a postal train with a sorting car, and a few sleeper cars from different eras that you can walk through. Made me want to go on a rail journey across the USA.

We had a very nice day here when they hosted a homeschool day. There's tons of info about different trains, so if you're a train enthusiast or are looking to learn/teach about trains this is a fantastic place to go.

As members, we love this place. Or train-loving son asks to go most weekends when asked what he would order to do for fun. Nice staff, neat trains and two different train rides.... Keeps us coming back time and time again

Lots of different trains to look at, and walk through. Definitely recommend getting the train ride in the cab with the engineer for two dollars more. He was really nice and knowledgable. He pleasantly answered all our questions about the mechanics of trains. Getting there is a little easy to miss, it is set back off the road, but well worth it for the drive out to Duluth.

We didn't enjoy the big train ride as it was hot out and the part that we sat in was outside/non-shaded. But the smaller train ride was nice for the younger ones.

We took a quick diesel electric train ride which was exciting enough for my small kids. Ticket prices are reasonable and the property as a whole is well kept.

I can totally see us visiting again in years to come.
