Dispatcher named "Lavon or Laverne" was extremely rude when I called to report an incident of an elderly lady who had potential alcohol poisoning or had been slipped a ruffie at a bar. I'm calling chief of police in the morning but I seriously doubt any action will be taken considering the other reviews on here. The attitude generally trickles down from "leadership" at the top. Glad I don't live in Duluth!
The police officers refused to write a police report. Paperwork is the bulk of their service to the community! The police are perhaps a middle solver to most situations and inforce the law if broken immediately. I had an incident today and they treated me like i was the criminal. To my knowleged if you ask for a report they should provide you a case number and write it. But mine was refused and i was humilated. Eventhough my situation was a civil matter i should not have been shunned by the police nor threaten by dispatch that if i call again i would be arrested. I had know idea that their 911 line is linked to their non emergency line. Im a sad and unnerved worker in a communitity in which the police refused to care or write about a crime i felt was serious to me.
Back in 2015 they gave me a warning for trespassing and said I would get charged for criminal trespassing when I was on public property like wtf
Also, they target Korean communities and issue parking citations, knowing that they are more likely to simply pay for the tickets without going to the court. Citations are issued for 'parking within 15 feet of fire hydrant.' However, the shortest distance to park the vehicles on the street from the hydrant is over 30 feet.
One of the worst PD in the metro Atlanta area. They target Koreans on issuing unjustifiable traffic citation. I got pulled over and the officer issued a citation. I requested the accuracy check for his speed gun. He stated that I was not allowed to see it. To make it worse, he checked on the ticket as if I did not request the check of the device.
