Had problems with my TV that was delivered and these guys were PROS at getting it handled! Love the dudes at Geek Squad. They do an amazing job to make sure that the error is fixed and the the customer goes home happy.
Hard to find someone to help you. Most employees here walk around like ants not making eye contact in case you try to flag someone down. Asked for a bigger discount on an opened box item because of some new damage, and got the "it's the lowest we are allowed" bit. I had a Best buy employee "penny out" (their term) a $50 headset because I stayed and waited 4 hours before...I know you could do better...
Researched and found what I wanted. Sufficient specs available to make decision. Ordered online. Waited 15 minutes for "ready for pickup" email. Picked it up with irrelevant time wait. Couldn't have been a better experience.
I went in to purchase a cell phone. I looked at the phones for 15 or 20 minutes. No one asked me if I needed any help although there were several store associates in the vicinity talking amongst themselves. I finally sat down at the sales counter to wait for someone to become available. There were 2 sales associates at the counter--one with a customer and the other on the phone. After another 15 or 20 minutes sitting there, I finally just stopped an associate who was passing by to ask if someone could assist me with the purchase of the phone. He found someone to help with the transaction. Needless to say, I was disappointed by the lack of customer service at this store. I probably could have sat there for another 20 minutes without anyone asking if someone was helping me. Poor customer service & lack of initiative.
For some reason, it's always faster to buy it in the store then it is to buy it online and pick it up here. The general lack of caring by the store employees makes me wonder how Best Buy is still in business.
